Yes, exactly! And wasn't it awesome how he evolved from a sort of geeky guy to a strong hero with new convictions and altered goals? It was truly a unique movie worth your time, imo. I actually liked it much better than I thought I would. The protagonist's character was the perfect example of a great anti-hero. I loved the way he developed over the course of the movie, I thought it was a good study in how to create a very interesting character, especially the way they kept his love for his wife at the forefront. Gave the audience a rooting factor for him. Saw District 9 last year in Columbus, Ohio where I was attending the Columbus Ohio Fiction Writer’s conference.
