I was drawing a blank on what to blog about, so I enlisted the help of a few friends to brainstorm some ideas. We decided on a question and answer post.
The question I asked of various people…pubbed, unpubbed, family, friends, bloggers, editors, etc… was… When you think of angels, what comes to mind. I got a variety of answers and here are a few:
- angels are the good guys in a bad world
- perfection
- Heaven and Hell
- David Boreanaz
- guardians; someone who looks after you
- Earl on Saving Grace
- goodness and light; purity of purpose; lending strength and comfort
- Legion
- fluffy white wings and halos
- fallen
- Supernatural
- Larissa Ione
I don’t know if I was shocked or surprised by any of the answers, especially the Hollywood answers, but I don’t think so. Even I have a thing for Earl the Angel trying to save Grace’s soul. Who would love a being that can whisk you off to the Grand Canyon while you’re still in pajamas or holds you when you cry or drinks beer or plays darts or takes care of you after you’ve been out drinking and sexing it up all night. His answers though…well, they’re a bit on the cryptic side and drive Grace insane!
I’ve never watched Supernatural and I have no plans to see Legion, however, Legion lends itself to the warrior angels which I do actually find fascinating.
In keeping with my little theme of question and answers… When you think of Angels, what comes to mind?
